LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- C.J. Fair scored 13 points, and No. 2 Syracuse scored the final six points of the game to beat No. 19 Louisville, 52-51, on Monday night, snapping a seven-game losing streak against the Cardinals.
Syracuse (26-1, 13-1 Big East) held the Cardinals (20-6, 8-5) without a point over the final 31/2 minutes, and Fair hit the go-ahead lay-up with 2:11 left.
Fab Melo scored 11 points, and the best shooting team in the Big East overcame a 34.4% effort, including 1-for-15 from three-point range, to win for the sixth straight time since losing at Notre Dame.
Minnesota 64, No. 16 Nebraska 58: Kionna Kellogg's basket broke a tie with 1:01 left and host Minnesota beat Nebraska. Rachel Banham led the Gophers with 21 points (13-14, 5-8 Big Ten). Jordan Hooper led the Cornhuskers (19-5, 8-4) with 20.

Mid-American West women -- Eastern Michigan guard Tavelyn James, a senior from Detroit Mumford, scored 40 points in a win over Kent State. Horizon League women -- Detroit Mercy forward Shareta Brown, a freshman from Pontiac, averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two victories. Great Lakes North men -- Northwood senior Bobby Lewis, a senior from Saginaw, averaged 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two wins. GLIAC North women -- Northwood guard Rachel Church, a junior from Midland, averaged 21.5 points in two wins.
