Nets Edge Clippers on Farmar's Last-Second 3-Pointer - New York Times

Farmar took a bounce pass from Deron Williams before shooting, and a boisterous sellout crowd celebrated the team’s first home win since Feb. 1 against the Pistons.

Nets Coach Avery Johnson called Farmar’s winner “probably the biggest shot this year for us.”

Farmar said, “I would have been hurt if it went out.”

After being fouled by Shelden Williams coming around a screen, Chris Paul sank two free throws to put the Clippers up, 100-98. It was their first lead since a 6-5 advantage with 8 minutes 22 seconds left in the first quarter.

Deron Williams led the Nets with 21 points and 10 assists, and he had plenty of help from Shelden Williams (15 points, 10 rebounds) and three outside shooters. Farmar, MarShon Brooks and Anthony Morrow combined for 49 points and shot 18 of 32.

The Clippers’ Blake Griffin finished with 28 points and 17 rebounds despite being hounded by Kris Humphries for most of the night.

After remaining on the ground for a while, Griffin got up and finished the game.
